What I saw. You didn’t. You saw the bigger picture. Literally. I didn’t. Beyond the faces of ferocious criminals that I've painted; the real meaning was visible to the naked eye yet hidden in plain sight. What the majority were not seeing were the thousand fingerprints which made the picture. The thousand fingerprints represent the many victims, who fell subjected to these serial killers. The many victims they killed, represented by the fingerprints, create villainous, despicable representations of who they are. The objective was to symbolise how their actions are such a significant sin which is further emphasised by how the paintings themselves are huge. This is in no way, meant to represent them as someone I look up to or someone who’s actions, I glorify. When you look at my paintings you see a collective amount of serial killers with smiles on their faces almost making them look human. Almost. You would see what the many different innocent victims saw before they were brutally massacred. The fingerprints play an important role in highlighting my main objective; they represent how such innocent-looking men had shamelessly killed hundreds of innocent men and women without thinking twice. How they used them to their advantage, all the while playing the role of sin-free men. If you hadn’t known of their sickening crimes, you would also see what the victims saw. That is my main objective. Don’t focus on the bigger picture. Look within for the real depiction.
